Feels Like Christmas

We didn't bring more than a few favorite ornaments with us to the Philippines but the missionaries who lived in the house before us were kind enough to leave us some of their Christmas decorations.
Between the tree and the fact that it's a chilly (for here :) ) 76 degrees, it really is starting to feel like Christmas.

Finally Home

Wow, been a really long time. Sorry for the lack of updates. I'm going to try to post at least once a week from here on out.

After living with a family for a few days, then in a rented place for two weeks, then in an on-furlough family's house for two months then in a rented apartment for 4 months, we have finally moved into our semi-permanent home. We have been eyeing this place ever since we were back in California, so it's a real relief to finally be here.

It's a nice home, in a good neighborhood, with good landlords and for a great price. A missionary family had been living here but they went back to the states in November. We were also fortunate enough to be able to buy most of their stuff as well, which saved us a lot of money in furniture, appliances, etc.

Here's a quick photo of our new home from the street.

I'm also planning on finally sending out an email newsletter before Chrstmas. If you haven't signed up but would like to receive it, you can sign up now.
